Client: Tanz & Kunst Königsfelden
As part of its collaboration with various schools in the canton of Aargau, Tanz und Kunst Königsfelden is embarking on a new artistic journey with 110 pupils from Neuenhof Primary School, under the coordination and artistic direction of Salomé Martins.
Inspired by Michael Ende’s classic *Momo*, the educational project *Durchreise* explores time and memory as lived experiences. Through artistic activities, the project invites pupils to reflect on their experience of time: How do we use our time? How can everyday situations give rise to meaningful memories? It also encourages them to recognise life as a constant process of change and to understand how personal experiences and memories shape identity and give meaning to life.
For the duration of the project, the pupils train weekly with dance practitioners from various fields: whilst Sophie Larson (USA/CH) and Stefanie Schaarschmidt (D/CH) teach contemporary dance, Dario Dinuzzi (IT) leads dance theatre and storytelling sessions. For the first time within an educational project, the schoolchildren are being introduced to the martial art of capoeira by Diego Rutz (CH). In Lida Doumouliakas’ (GR) body percussion workshops, the pupils experience time as sound and rhythm through their own bodies.
Alongside these movement-based courses, the children will explore experimental and analogue photography under the guidance of artist Sebastiano Bucca (CH). Viviana Gonzalez Mendez (CO) will oversee the creation of costumes using the cyanotype process on textiles. Artist Adriana Berwert (CH) will lead the development of video projections and shadow plays.
The music for Durchreise is composed by Bálint Dobozi (HU), who will perform it live at the end with his brother, Márton Dobozi (HU). This creates a direct dialogue between sound, movement, time and space.
The project’s journey begins on 5 January 2026 and culminates in four public performances at the Kultur- und Kongresshaus Aarau.
